Bio:
Dr. Janitz completed his osteopathic medical degree in 2023 and is a current family medicine resident at Mayo Clinic in Florida. His past research experiences and publications include bilateral linear porokeratosis treated with a novel cholesterol/lovastatin cream, post-infantile giant cell autoimmune hepatitis associated with rheumatoid arthritis, and malaria/Lyme disease habitat suitability in the pacific northwest using GIS modeling. Dr. Janitz gets a thrill from presenting his research at conferences and has won multiple awards for his manuscripts, including “Best Case Study” at the National Student of Osteopathic Medical Association research symposium. He loves partnering with students to foster their passions and guide their work within the Rising Researchers program.
