I found the bioinformatics topics covered very interesting and I loved learning how to use different research tools to analyze data and make a conclusion, as well as craft a research poster and paper with them. I found that the teachings of how to write a research paper, create a research poster, and present findings were well planned and taught, and I feel that they will be useful for anyone who plans to continue their research journey. I feel that the bioinformatics research program gives me the skills and tools I need to potentially do my own research in the future, and explore the research world myself. Dr. Jedy was very knowledgeable in all the topics we covered and was very helpful throughout the program. Seher DeoDecember 8, 2025This course taught me about the basics of neuroscience and helped me gain a better understanding of the brain. The material covered in each lesson was not overly complex, but still detailed enough to help me in write my article. The pace of the class was decently fast, but the writing process was split into small assignments, which were manageable weekly tasks. I got to write a neuroscientific review article on a topic I was interested in, and the class provided a lot of information on basic neuroscience topics so I was able to learn a lot of information from that as well. My teacher, Ms. Shvetali Thatte, was also very clear in her teaching and she gave a lot of helpful feedback to ensure my paper was as good as it could be. I was a little worried it was going to be an overload of work, but the way it was split up and sectioned made it really easy to follow along and wasn't overwhelming. Interacting with the counselors and other peers was very helpful as well, and getting to interact with other people my age who want to go into medicine was interesting and a good experience.
