I was a part of Rising Researchers 2024, and I really enjoyed my experience. I was able to research a topic that I was personally passionate about and my instructor, Loren, offered really great guidance. My peers were very collaborative, and I was able to learn a lot of content and useful information while simultaneously learning how to write a scientific paper. The class was very well-paced, with a manageable workload and a lot of resources available. I'd definitely recommend Rising Researchers to anyone who is looking to get into research and would like experience writing a scientific research paper!

The course experience was really great! I was a little worried it was going to be an overload of work, but the way it was split up and sectioned made it really easy to follow along and wasn't overwhelming. Interacting with the counselors and other peers was very helpful as well, and getting to interact with other people my age who want to go into medicine was interesting and a good experience. The counselors were very friendly and eager to help. Overall, this course was really good and I highly recommend taking it, especially if you are going into the medical field.

Enjoyed the class! In the classes they didn't just go over the research but also intricated it with medicine by proving new information on the heart. There was a session on careers which seemed to be helpful knowing they are experienced in the pathway that me and my peers are trying to accomplish.

This research opportunity is a fantastic resource for high school students, whether you're just starting your research journey or continuing to explore new areas. Dr. Jedy, my instructor, was an amazing teacher. She made the complex material and topics easy to understand and was always willing to dedicate extra time for students who needed it.
